These photos portray the repairs to a Hunter 42 sailboat that had sunk in a storm and had pounded against a breakwater of the Black River in Wisconsin for several days before being salvaged and brought to Washburn Marina. The boat was new and had been in the water for only a few weeks prior to this damage. The current owner bought it for salvage and was unable to locate anyone who thought it was repairable. Hunter Marine would not sell him a new hull so his only option was to repair this hull. We repaired the damage to the boat for approximately 25% of the boat’s value.
